Our Company operates seven retail Liquor Stores in Sydney and currently has the Retail Systems program operating in four of those stores.

We first installed the system at Crestwood Cellars, Baulkham Hills in September 1995 and have continued to install the system into our larger stores.

We control the system from a head office computer and download price changes and retrieve sales information overnight.

“I own and operate two liquor stores in Sydney, and have used the Retail System in my stores for the past 10 years. I have found it to be the most efficient and productive system that I have found.

The reporting programs within the system are most comprehensive, and have proven to be invaluable tools in the efficient running of my business. The stock control programs allow me to keep accurate control of stock levels and extremely tight control of gross profit. This can be controlled by individual, stock items, by department/category, and by supplier.

The stock receipt program allows effective control of stock levels and accurate control of GP on the individual items at point of receipt. This I have found has allowed me to control GP and in most cases contributes to increasing Total GP.

When the stock receipt program is used in conjunction with the orders program this allows for accurate ordering based on historical selling patterns combined with current stock holdings, and allows for instant recall of orders placed.

The stock take program allows for easy stock takes to be done by department, category or by supplier. I have found that counting stock by department, on a regular basis gives us accurate and efficient stock control and hence stock loss control.

Operating two stores we use the multi store setup. This allows us to control stock being sent to stores from a warehouse site, and allows for accurate and efficient data collection, another tool to assist in the profitable management of business.

Part of our business involves the management of our Internet site. To do this efficiently Retail System has been most helpful in the writing of special software to assist us in this endeavor. From time to time other small modifications have been achieved to improve the overall efficiency of the system.
